We are focused  in helping the girls, women, the less privileged and vulnerable population to discover, develop and deploy their talents and maximize their skills and full potential to create values sustainably.

OUR BELIEVE

At HIWD, it is our believe that every woman and girl child deserve the opportunity to live free from poverty. Working in partnership with local and international donors, we reach out to the less privileged, train and empower them so that they can start businesses, support their families and strengthen their communities and thereby contributing positively to the economy and our society.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women and girls make up the vast majority of our population, and a greater percentage of them are living in abject poverty. At HIWD, we are committed to changing this narratives — by helping these unprivileged and vulnerable population to discover, develop and deploy their talents, maximize their skills and potential to create values sustainably

GENDER BASE VIOLENCE (GBV)

Globally, one out of three women will be beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused in her lifetime. At HIWD, We are here to offer support and services for victims and educate community members to prevent further violence against women and girls.

GIRL'S CHILD EDUCATION

Girl Child in Nigeria have had various challenges in order to obtain equal education in all forms of formal education in Nigeria from their families who see them as liabilities instead of assets to the society. At HIWD, we are championing the advocacy the education of the girl’s child.

OUR IMPACT?

The Halima Initiative for Women Development (HIWD), an NGO, has donated learning materials to over 1000 school children in Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp at Durumi in the FCT.
